She was not alone though, a year later in 2009, he named Kourtney her sister ..does this mean he also had a crush on Kourtney?

Politician caught vandalising pipeline to raise campaign funds

Operatives of the Inspector General of Police Task Force on Anti-Pipeline Vandalism have arrested a self-confessed politician, Wahab Junaid, for vandalising a Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation pipeline in the Obafemi/ Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State

The officer-in-charge of the task force, ACP Friday Ibadin, said Junaid, aka Doctor, was one of the unit’s most wanted pipeline vandals. He explained that Doctor was arrested at Ifote village in the local council.

Punch learnt that Doctor had allegedly been arrested and arraigned three times, but was discharged and acquitted.However, the 59-year-old politician said he went back to vandalism in order to raise money to contest a political post in 2015.

He said,

 “After I regained my freedom in 2012, I stopped anything that has to do with pipeline vandalism.

“I am an active member of a political party in this state (Lagos). So, when the slot for the House of Representatives was zoned to my area, my people nominated me to represent them. Since I know that I had a good chance of winning the election, I accepted. I was told to go and look for money to sponsor my campaigns.
“In the course of looking for funds, a friend of mine, Oloje, who is also a vandal, informed me that the area was calm, and that I could come and lift some fuel and get money for my political ambition.
“I was waiting with my tankers to lift the product when policemen arrested me. My enemies, who are bitter that I was anointed for the political position, betrayed me. Please forgive me and give me another chance. I am sorry and I promise that as soon as I am elected, I will assist the police in the war against pipeline vandalism.”

Juniad said a full tanker could be bought for N1.5m from vandals and sold for N3m.Junaid, who claimed to be veterinary doctor, said he was first arrested and arraigned in court in 2008.

“I was discharged and acquitted in 2010. I was also arrested at Epe in 2010 and after several months, I regained my freedom again. The third time was in 2012, when policemen from FESTAC division arrested and arraigned me in court. I was able to secure my freedom yet again.”

 The task force boss, Ibadin, explained that after his latest acquittal, the unit got a tip-off that Junaid had returned to bursting pipelines and had successfully moved several truck of petrol from pipelines in Lagos and Ogun states.

“On September 15, 2014, detectives acted on an intelligence report that Junaid was back and currently operating with his boys at Ogere. Detectives, led by Ogere Sector Commander, ASP Shakwallo Philemon, stormed the area, arrested him and also recovered three big valves already mounted on NNPC right of way. This is the fourth time Junaid will be arrested by the police.“We are still on the trail of his accomplices who managed to escape. We will again take him to court and we hope that he will get what he deserves this time around."

Don’t be disturbed. Pray for the relations; pray for the victims. That is your assignment – your love and prayer for the victims and the relations of the martyrs. That is your duty at this time

Don’t allow yourself to be used by satan. If you do, satan will use his people to run to you and disturb you the more. This is an opportunity for them to disturb your faith with their negative words. Those who hate you and those who want you to die will run after you because of this issue. It is not that they love you but they want to see your countenance, your appearance, how you look and whether you are worried. Never allow this. Remember Jesus. Don’t change your words in a moment. Jesus is Lord. 

What you saw happen – God is aware. If God is aware, who else is aware does not matter. The martyrs, victims and relations want to see your faith grow; they want to see the work of salvation and the work of God in your life continue. They want to see you serve the Lord the more. The only way you can allow the work of God to continue is to be with yourself and God, not to allow intruders and people around you to advise you and tell you what to do when they could not stop what happened. 

I pray the satanic agents should be the only ones to suffer this. I said, our God will get back to them. Warn your family and brothers about their talk. You will know I am a man of God this time. People who are looking for your downfall and run to disturb your spirit, warn them to be careful of their tongues and the people who come to them. God is a God of vengeance – anybody can go for it.
You cannot help me, only God. Don’t disturb me; please leave me with God. You will see the outcome. I am saying this so that only the people who did this will suffer for it and you will not in any way suffer for it. The people who are writing whatever they are saying – all of us will see the outcome of this. Leave it for God. 

"I have been on this journey for 27 years. Do you think God can close His eyes and rubbish everything here? They are asking God to bring more evidence of whether He is the One who called me. The Inspiring Story of Celebrated Taxi Driver who returned N18million 8-yrs ago

Eight years after he returned N18 million forgotten in his car by passengers, Taxi Driver and father of six, Mr. Imeh Usuah,received the national honour as a Member of the Federal Republic,he was also given plots of land in Abuja.

 That one single act of honesty has changed his life and will no doubt inspire others to do same,reward or not. Thisdayreproduced an exclusive interview they had with him back in 2012 which they titled "One Missing Hero at the National Honours Award’

A dry and dusty road, decrepit house, cracked walls that played host to lizards all day long and squashy doors, his house was not hard to locate inside the community.Inside the house, free flowing mosquitoes made unbearable sound. Yes, the living room had seen better days and the rubber chairs in the living room were also ancient, but inside the house seated a national hero not known to many across the country.

On Monday, September 17, 2012, when President Goodluck Jonathan conferred national honours on deserving Nigerians, Mr. Imeh Usuah, an Abuja-based cab driver popularly known as Jaja was not recognised.

But Mr. Usuah is only a forgotten national hero who should be recognised for his act of integrity. In November 2007 Usuah improved the image of Nigeria after returning the sum of N18 million left in his car to the owner in Abuja.

“I was not nominated. I was not invited and I don’t even know those who are there,” 

With a sense of pride and fulfilment, he recounted what happened in November 2007 and how the bag containing 

the money was found and returned to the owner.

“It was one morning by 5.30 AM, in November, 2007, when British Airways (BA), landed at the international wing of the airport in Abuja. As usual, I positioned myself from metres away from the arrival wing waiting for passengers to come out so that I can get my customers and take them where ever they want to go inside town.
“In my waiting position I saw these two white men who came with the British airways. From distance I could observe that they were obviously tired from their look. They beckoned on me requesting for a drop at the Hilton Transcorp Hotel in Maitama area in Abuja.
“I didn’t waste time as I immediately put some of their bags into the boot of my cab and the remaining ones neatly arranged on the back seat and underneath the seats, and off I headed for the destination. 

“I arrived at the hotel lounge within 45 minutes and dropped them with their luggage. I got paid N,4000 for my service and I zoomed off, but unknown to both of us there was a bag which contained this huge amount of money left behind tucked away underneath my seat.”

“I decided to take the cab for washing as my usual practice after the day’s work, and while I was removing the foot mats in a bent down position, I saw this brown suite case tucked underneath the driver’s seat. Immediately I remembered the passengers I had carried for the day and I started thinking of who really among them could have forgotten the suitcase. Instinctively I knew it was one of the many bags belonging to those chaps I took to Transcorp Hilton. Even though I didn’t open the suitcase, I sensed at that hour that it must at least contain some valuable items. 

My immediate response was to inform our association chairman at that time, Mr. Alex Ekwueme Udom. I told him what happened and that I was returning the bag to the owners.”

He continued: “By the time I met these guys, the owners of the bag at the hotel, they were standing at the hotel lobby confused, dejected and frustrated. They couldn’t even recognise me as the cab driver that brought them from the airport and shockingly they didn’t know the number of taxi. But, I could recognise them. 

“These people could not believe their eyes. Their confused state disappeared, and they were so happy that they went on their knees thanking me for returning the bag. They requested for my GSM numbers and in a twinkle of an eye, I disappeared from the scene,” he said.

“I did it to let people know, especially the foreigners that Nigerians are good and great people. I can go hungry for days, for as long as my integrity remains, hunger will disappear by itself.”

But, five years on, a man who showed foreigners that Nigerians are good and great people has been living a squalid life on a corner street in one of the satellite towns in Abuja, the capital city.

The lesson of a good and great Nigeria for the citizens in a
man that should be honoured for moral standard and
projection of good image of a nation is hidden away from
the people’s eyes.


Although, Usuah is not a man after gratification, one thing he will however not forget in a hurry was the way his two-bedroom apartment was demolished in Bassa village near the airport in April 2012 by the Department of Development control, an agency of Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA).

True, it was that apartment that once gave this unsung hero happiness.

Oscar Pistorius 'made secret phone call to ex girlfriend before killing Reeva Steenkamp

While he awaits his sentencing after being found guilty of  culpable homicide, it has been revealed that Oscar Pistorius made a secret phone call to one of his ex-girlfriends shortly before he shot Reeva Steenkamp.According to a new book soon to be released titled 'Behind the Door",he spoke to 25 year old Jenna Edkins, for nine minutes on the evening of the killing.

According to UK Mirror, Pistorius and Edkins were in an on-off relationship for five years, and he is believed to have still been seeing her and another woman when he met Miss Steenkamp.He started dating Miss Steenkamp when he was still seeing Miss Edkins, a banker from Johannesburg, and another woman.

The Olympian called Jenna Edkins, who was stored in his mobile under the name “Babyshoes”.

Mobile phone data showed Pistorius was on the phone when he arrived home that evening.
Further investigations have revealed that the number was used by Edkins but had been registered in her father’s name.Police did not discover the nine-minute phone call, and Miss Edkins never gave a statement to the authorities. 

Miss Edkins has only posted five times since setting up her Twitter account in 2009, four of those are in support of Pistorius, all written on February 15th last year, the day after he shot Reeva Steenkamp.

Police arrest 2 dogs for attacking siblings in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two dogs for attacking three siblings and injuring one of them on the skull.

The police also arrested the owner of the dogs for allowing them to have uncontrolled freedom.
Our correspondent gathered that the dogs and their owner, identified simply as Jegede, were arrested by policemen from the Igando Police Station.
It was learnt that the three victims bitten by the rampaging dogs were children of Jegede’s tenant identified as Mr. Abraham Odia.

The incident occurred in the house both parties were staying at Adegboyega Street, Akesan, Igando, Lagos.

When our correspondent visited the area on Wednesday, a neighbour, who gave her name simply as Elizabeth, told PUNCH Metro that the dogs were brought newly to the area, adding that Jegede, who was the house caretaker, had not given them the necessary drugs.She said, 

“The incident happened last Thursday afternoon at about 5pm. The dogs were supposed to

be chained, but I think they broke loose. The children’s parents were not at home, and the kids had been playing in the compound.

Suddenly, we began to hear shrilled noises of children and the dogs barking violently. When we went near, we found out that the dogs had pounced on the three of them. The youngest child sustained serious injuries on the skull.

“I think the dogs had yet to be given the needed drugs because they were new in the house. The child was bleeding all over the body. Some of us had to call the parents and also involve the police because no one could move near the wild pets.”

PUNCH  learnt that the bitten child, a four-year-old boy whose name was given as Isaac, was initially rushed to the General Hospital, Igando before he was referred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja for treatment after the assault.

It was learnt that while Isaac sustained injuries on the skull from the bites, his two elder siblings, whose names had yet to be ascertained, sustained injuries on the arms and legs.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, while confirming the arrest , said the police had also taken the dogs for medical examination, to know whether they have rabies (a fatal dog’s infection) or not.

Christians worship a tree in Russia after seeing the face of Jesus on it

Churchgoers in Russia have begun worshipping a tree after claiming that religious icons with the faces of Jesus and the saints appeared on its trunk.

The images began to appear on the birch tree in the village of Burmakino in central Russia's Kirov Oblast last month in the places where gardeners had trimmed off old branches.

Villager Valentina Naumova said..:

 'We thought nothing of it until the tree started to form these arched shapes, just like church icons. 'Then the faces of Jesus and his disciples began to appear in them and we realised this really must be God's work.It seems to me that they had come to us because they wanted to tell us something.'

According to Mailonline, the village has had no church building of its own since it was destroyed by Communists in the 1930s. In the Soviet Union, all church owned property was confiscated and turned over to public use and most of it - like the property at Burmakino - was destroyed.

Associated Airline Crash Survivor cries out after being abandoned

Ms. Oluwatoyin Samson, cabin crew with Associated Airlines, who survived the 3 October, 2013 crash of one of the planes operated by company, has decried the treatment meted to her by the management.

NAN recalls that the Embracer 120 aircraft operated by the airline took-off from Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja at 9:32 a.m. and crashed less than a minute after take-off.

The plane was conveying the remains the former governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Agagu to Akure, Ondo state for burial.Sixteen persons lost their lives in the incident while four other survived with injuries.

Samson told NAN on Thursday in Lagos in a telephone interview that she fractured her pelvic during the crash. She alleged that the management of the airline abandoned her after she returned from treatment in South Africa.

“I was discharged from surgery unit, Folatend Physiotherapy Practice Hospital in South Africa and moved to orthopedic unit where I spent two weeks.
“The airline management paid me one and half months’ salary arrears and claimed that I was not their staff,” 

Reacting to the allegation, Mr Alex Emode, the airline’s spokesperson, who quoted the Geneva Convention, said compensation are only paid to families of the dead or survivors who suffer permanent body injuries.He said that Samson had been sacked before the incident, adding that she pleaded with the airline’s Chief Operation Officer to be on board the ill-fated flight.

Emode also alleged that Samson left behind some medical devices given to her by the hospital in South Africa.

She then went back and emerged with North West.

Now reports say she forgot her ,but maybe she expected someone to have put her in the car already.

But it doesn't make sense..

incredible moment funeral workers realise 'dead' Ebola victim is alive

This is the incredible moment a man thought to have died from Ebola was discovered to be still alive by funeral workers. The 37-year-old was lying in the middle of a street in Liberia's capital Monrovia when a team of workers began to wrap up his body.

A reporter from ABC News was filming a piece to camera about the removal of the 'dead' man's body. As the funeral workers sprayed the man with disinfectant and began to wrap his body, they discovered he was alive...

The reporter, Dr Richard Besser, was speaking to the camera and was left astonished by what he saw:

"He is not dead. They were wrapping him away but he is alive. He is moving his arm. They almost took him away to the crematorium and they noticed he was moving his arm."

The unnamed man had been dying from the virus for several days and it is claimed ambulance workers refused to treat him. After realising that he was still alive, many of the people in the street had to plead that he was taken to hospital.

Eventually, an ambulance was called to the scene earlier this week and the man was taken to hospital. His current state is not yet known.
