Ugandan maids family cry crocodile tears in court

The Uganda maid who was filmed battering that little girl a few weeks ago was in court today Dec. 8th where she pleaded guilty to child abuse.

Jolly Tumuhirwe, 22, who was in court with her mum, asked her parents, the girl's parents and all of Uganda to forgive her.

According to the BBC, the girl's father Eric Kamanzi broke down in court when Jolly asked for forgiveness. Jolly faces up to 15 years in prison for the crime or a fine of about $400 (£260) or both.

Her case was adjourned to Wednesday December 10th when the judge is expected to sentence her. She was led away in cuffs by prison officers after the session this morning.

Man Slice Open A Pregnant Dead Shark To Save Its Pups

Pictures of a gruesome but remarkable effort of a man saving three shark pups from their dead mother before releasing them into the ocean on a beach in Cape Town, South Africa as emerged online. 

A family found the deceased mother shark on the beach but noticed there was still movement inside. Realising the animal may have been pregnant, the head of the family, used a knife to perform a makeshift C-section on the animal, successfully saving three pups.

The video's description reads: 'This video is a good example of respect to all forms of life... You cannot help but admire the beach goers that helped the baby sharks live a life in the ocean.'

Despite their unconventional entrance to the world, the sharks are likely to live normal, healthy lives.

Pups, who stay inside the womb for up to two years, do not stick around for long after birth in case their mother eats them and are capable of independence from the moment they are born.

Doctors remove knife used to ward of evil spirits from baby's stomach

Doctors in India have removed a penknife from the stomach of a six-month-old boy who had been wearing it around his neck to ward off evil spirits.Dev Thakor, swallowed the knife by accident while being breastfed by his mother Rekha Ben.He had been wearing it on a string around his neck, which is a local tradition in India...

Dev's father, Bharat Thakor, said his son 'suddenly started crying, screaming' before his family noticed the knife was missing. The child was then rushed to a private hospital where an X-ray confirmed he had swallowed the penknife

The two-inch foldable knife came off its string last Friday as Dev was being fed by his mother. He then swallowed it without her noticing. 

Mr Thakor, a tea stall owner, didn't have enough money for his son's surgery but his neighbours and customers came to his aid and 'saved my son's life'. 

Dr Shravan Bohra, chief gastroenterologist at Apollo Hospitals where Dev's operation was performed, said

‘It was a critical case as the knife was lying open in the upper part of Dev’s stomach and could have harmed the Mucosa - the inner part of his body - but fortunately he was remarkably not injured.

Bank Robber caught while struggling to carry the heavy cash bag

A man has been shot in the leg and arrested because he was unable to load £185,000 of stolen cash onto his motorbike during a bank robbery getaway.

According to Sky news, CCTV footage shows the man in Huludao, China, trying to load the bag of cash weighing 13 stone onto the back of his motorbike after holding up a security guard at gunpoint.

However, he visibly struggles to carry and lift the bag - which contained 1.77million Chinese Yuan


The robber, who was not named, ambused a security guard who was carrying the bag of cash through the bank's revolving doors

Using a replica gun, he scared the guard away before taking the bag and starting to drag it across the carpark to a waiting motorbike. 

However, he was struggling to even lift the bag and balance it on top of the fragile-looking motorbike.

It is then he was surrounded by police, shot in the leg and arrested.He later told police: '

I hate myself for doing that. How could I do such a thing?'I will treat my parents and my wife kindly if one day I'm let out of prison.'

American woman stabbed to death by burqa attacker in Abu Dhabi Mall

American teachers in Abu Dhabi were warned that jihadis were threatening to kill them just weeks before a 47-year-old was stabbed to death in a mall by a burqa-wearing murderer.

According to MailOnline,  Ibolya Ryan, a mother of twin 11-year-old boys, was left dying in a pool of blood by the murderer after what police said was a 'brawl' in the toilets of a mall.

Detectives today released CCTV footage which showed how the suspect - whose gender they say they have not confirmed - lay in wait for the teacher for an hour.
It suggests strongly the attack was a targeted murder. 


As security guards rushed to the scene of the killing, her attacker calmly got in an elevator and walked out into the car park.

The assailant - who police believe could be a man wearing a burqa - left behind the weapon, a large kitchen knife. 

The victim - who is divorced from the father of the twins - described herself in an online profile as a teacher at a large kindergarten called Al Oula in Abu Dhabi

The CCTV footage establishes that the woman spent at least an hour apparently waiting in the toilets of the mall.

She entered the mall from the car park at 1.12pm, and a minute later was on the mall level where she got out of the elevator where she approached a security guard.

After apparently asking for directions - there is no audio footage - she moved towards the restrooms, picking up a free newspaper on the way. 

An hour and a half later she left the toilets - at precisely the time people are scene reacting to the horror. 

In a statement, the US embassy listed extra precautions for US citizens, saying they should avoid crowds and places they did not know previously, and 'minimize their profile in public'.

Lawyer Wants Environmental Sanitation Cancelled In Lagos

A Lagos-based lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has asked a Federal High Court in Lagos to put a stop to the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in Lagos State.

The lawyer is asking the court to declare as illegal, the monthly exercise, during which citizens’ movements were restricted.

The applicant in his motion on notice argued that the imposed environmental sanitation on every last Saturday of the month did not have any legal backing.

According to him, the restriction of people’s movement was in conflict with Sections 35 and 41 of the Constitution, which guarantees rights to personal liberty and  freedom of movement.

Adegboruwa stated that the restriction also violates  Article XII of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights (Ratification and Enforcement) Act, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

He is therefore asking the court to declare that the Lagos State Government and its agents do not have the legal backing to restrict movement of Lagos residents on the last Saturday of the month.

JADEN: Here’s the deal: School is not authentic because it ends. It’s not true, it’s not real. Our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to.

WILLOW: Forever, ‘til the day that we’re in our bed.

JADEN: Kids who go to normal school are so teenagery, so angsty.

WILLOW: They never want to do anything, they’re so tired.

JADEN: You never learn anything in school. Think about how many car accidents happen every day. Driver’s ed? What’s up? I still haven’t been to driver’s ed because if everybody I know has been in an accident, I can’t see how driver’s ed is really helping them out.

WILLOW: I went to school for one year. It was the best experience but the worst experience. The best experience because I was, like, “Oh, now I know why kids are so depressed.” But it was the worst experience because I was depressed.

So what’s next?

JADEN: I have a goal to be just the most craziest person of all time. And when I say craziest, I mean, like, I want to do like Olympic-level things. I want to be the most durable person on the planet.
