Google Chairman Predicts The Future Of Internet
While speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the executive Chairman of Google, Eric Schmidt was asked to predict the future of the web and what he said will shock you. I think I kinda like this! Lol.
'I will answer very simply that the Internet will disappear. ''There will be so many IP addresses…so many devices, sensors, things that you are wearing, things that you are interacting with that you won't even sense it.'
'It will be part of your presence all the time. 'Imagine you walk into a room, and the room is dynamic.' And with your permission and all of that, you are interacting with the things going on in the room. 'A highly personalized, highly interactive and very, very interesting world emerges,' he said.

Lol.. white peeps though. This relationship is complicated, but they claim it's okay because it's true love. Ebony, met Peter when she was still dating the father of her two boys, John who happens to be Peter’s wife’s son. Before they could say jack, Ebony and Peter started sleeping together because they couldn't take their eyes off each other.
They separated for a while and Ebony went to jail, while Peter divorced his wife Judy in the process. Soon as she got out of jail, they headed to the registry and tied the knot.
Peter's ex-wife, Judy, the grandmother of Ebony's two boys later got to know what they did, but finally forgave them and said they were meant to be together. Lol. Peter is 65 while Ebony is 33. Read their story after the cut.
It was lust at first sight when Ebony and Peter Florian clapped eyes on each other – and not even the 32-year age gap could put out the fire.
Ebony was 16 in 1997 when she met and instantly fancied the man who is now her husband – but who was dating her boyfriend’s mum at the time.
She recalled: “He was bent over a car bonnet.
“He had these blue jeans on and I thought, ‘What a nice bum!’ It didn’t matter that he was older . I just saw a man that I liked.”
Peter, now 65, was 48 at the time and admits he feared being taken for a baby-snatcher.
He remembered: “I thought, ‘She’s only 16 but what a way this girl has.’ I didn’t want to be seen as a child molester.
“But when I looked in her eyes… I had never had that feeling before . Now I just love our life together.”
A big age difference is not the only unconventional aspect of the couple’s relationship though – and their family lunches are a complicated business.
When Peter looks around the table, he sees Ebony, her two teenage sons and the boys’ grandmother Judy – who just happens to be his former wife.
He was dating Judy when he met Ebony – and she was in a relationship with Judy’s son John, the father of Ebony’s two boys Connor, 16, and Dominic, 15.
That did not stop Peter and Ebony beginning an affair two years later when she was 18 – and while they were both attached.
He had been confused about the age gap and battled his feelings.
“Everything went through my head,” he told the Sunday People .
“What do I do? Every time I was close to her I felt younger than I was. I had butterflies in my stomach.”
Meanwhile, Ebony had her two babies with John. But all the time her thoughts were with Peter. She admitted: “I remember thinking, ‘I wish I was with you.’”
Welder Peter, nicknamed Flit, had a second job delivering catalogues and Ebony would often ride with him.
One day as they drove together alone, he could not resist putting his hand on her leg.
The pair had sex for the first time in a layby. Ebony said: “I stayed with John but the whole time I had an affair with Flit, I always wished he was coming home with me and was my husband. I was madly in love and didn’t feel guilty. Flit was what I wanted but couldn’t have.
“Their relationship was on the rocks and not because of anything that we were doing.”
In 2000 a suspicious Judy challenged Peter to marry her – and he did.
He recalled: “She had an inkling something was going on. She said she wanted to get married. I knew that if I stayed with Judy, I would be close to Ebby. I don’t feel bad about that.”
But in fact the marriage drove Peter and Ebony apart – and it was to be another 12 years before he finally married the woman he truly loved.
Ebony said: “It broke my heart, him marrying her.
“But I didn’t express my feelings. If I had come forward and told him, we could have been together. It was textbook bad communication.”
Peter agreed He said: “During the years we were apart I thought about her all the time. I kept thinking about how much younger she was and that I needed to let her live her life.
“I didn’t know she had the same feelings for me.”
Ebony split from John in 2004 and her life then spiralled out of control. A bad relationship plus drinking ended in her being jailed for two years and four months in 2010 for a stabbing .
Judy took custody of the two boys. Then while Ebony was in prison, Judy and Peter split up and divorced. He was shocked by Ebony’s conviction for GBH but visited her twice in jail and wrote regularly.
She said: “I wrote explaining that I wanted him to be my husband and that I had loved him since I was 16. We built the relationship from there.”
Ebony, then 31, was released from prison in June 2012 and Peter was waiting at the gates to take her to a flat he had rented for them.
A month later the pair eloped to Gretna Green, with Peter’s sister and her partner agreeing to be the witnesses to their marriage. Ebony recalled: “It felt right. All the way there I was a bag of nerves knowing I was finally going to marry the man I loved.
“I wore a lacy white dress and shawl. We kept it minimal as I didn’t want a big fuss. It wasn’t about having loads of people there and showing off. I cried the whole time, I was so happy.
“After the wedding we went to the Lake District and had a quiet drink in a lovely pub.”
But by the time the newlyweds got home, Judy had discovered what they had done. “It was all kicking off but we just ignored it,” Ebony said.
A month later, after the dust had settled, Judy called on them and the two women sat down to talk things through.
Ebony said: “She said she was happy for us because we were always meant to be together.

I have even attended different deliverance services, hoping that God will save me.”Those were the words of a 60-year-old man, Isiaka Alade, who was arrested by police for allegedly defiling his 14-year-old daughter.
He was picked up by operatives of Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti when a good Samaritan, who saw him in the act, alerted the police. The unfortunate girl (name withheld) was rescued and handed over to the Police welfare department, pending when she would reunite with her mother or any other member of her extended family.
According to Sun ,At the police station, the teenager revealed that it was her father who deflowered her sometime in 2013. She alleged that her father convinced her that there was nothing wrong in what he was doing to her. He was accused of buying different gifts for her as a way of wooing her to submit.
Sober and begging for mercy, Alade promised that if given a second chance, he would return the daughter to her mother.
“I am sorry but the truth is that I am possessed. No normal father will do such a thing to his daughter. My mistake was allowing her to live with me when I knew that I do not have a wife or woman friend.”According to him, the girl is his only surviving child.
“I have been unlucky with women. My first two wives had kids but they all died. I finally married (this girl’s) mother but she was very stubborn. After the birth of (the girl), we separated and she went back to our village in Osun State.He claimed that he masturbated on top of his daughter, twice.
“When (the girl) became eight years, her mother called that I should come and carry her, as she wanted to remarry. Since she is my only child, I accepted and brought her to Lagos in 2008. I was able to enroll her in a private school, till sometime in 2013 when my landlord sold the house and we were forcefully evicted.

Although I have not slept with another woman for the past eight years, I have done my best not to womanise. I will never have sex with anyone that is not my wife. I was planning to travel to the village and marry another woman who has a job. I do not know what I did to the baale (community leader) that he has sworn to deal with me.

I am guilty but please understand that it is the devil that possessed me, ” he pleaded.Confirming his arrest, Lagos State police spokesman, DSP Kenneth Nwosu said that Alade would soon be charged to court. He also said that the girl is currently at the welfare department, pending when she will be reunited with her family.

Just sitting here gazing at a picture of a boy I know but now gone because of an illness that would have been managed. The thought of his lifeless body brings me so much pain and sadness and it is not because I was close to him nor that I cared so much about him but just a mere reflection of how wicked the world is, the extent we go just to hide our pain to avoid being a laughing stock,Gossip item, abused, bullied on social medias and even betrayed by some trusted friends & even our socalled Families*
Oh yes that is the awful world we live in,We develop thick skin because we re betrayed almost everyday by people we love and trust so now we try to go through the difficult and trying times alone without sharing with anyone or letting them know what we re going through.
Be a Neighbor and a friend that really cares,try and be trustworthy in this wicked and heartless world. I know that there are some good people out there,where re they? We all can't be evil na,let's show others hope,love and reason to live again,a tree can't make a forest,we need each other in one way or the other.

Pope Announces First Trip To Africa
Pope Francis has announced he will be making his first visit to Africa later this year. He will be visiting Uganda and the restive Central African Republic. According to his camp, the visit should have taken place but for Ebola which hit major parts of Africa last year.

Lol...this is to people who are fast to drop comments on blog slamming celebrities by asking them to get a stylist or sit their butt home if they don’t know how to look good. One of them have written tothenet.ng saying it is not easy and wants you to think twice about slamming them. Anyway, the anonymous celeb is not asking for your pity, but has listed why and why some celebs might never look good as you expect. Sit back, grab a bottle of coke and enjoy. Too bad the anonymous celeb called an actress out who is alleged to have flaunted over 6 different Hermes Birkin bags! Those bags cost roughly $14,000 per bag. So she bought them all? *Blank stare*the anonymous celeb asked. You will enjoy it, just sit back and relax, Hehehe…
I was watching Nike Oshinowo’s new TV show and in the first episode she said something that made me chuckle. It was something along the lines of ‘it takes a village to get me to look like this’. I smiled. Thank God someone is telling the truth!
I often shake my head when I read the comments sections of Nigerian blogs where men and women criticize celebrities’ fashion sense and fling the words ‘Get a stylist! She needs a stylist!’ Do you think it’s easy???
As someone in the public eye, I try to look good. Sometimes I look good and sometimes I don’t. And I really do try!
First of, there are not up to 10 GOOD stylists in Nigeria – I don’t know why. The fashion industry is growing rapidly but the number of GOOD stylists remains small.
The average GOOD stylist charges as much as N50, 000 per look! (Take for example Bubu Ogisi). And that’s just the outfit. So if a big event like the AMVCA is coming up and you call on a stylist- you pay N50, 000 for the outfit that he/she will get for you. It might or might not include shoes. You have to return the clothes after the event.
Then you have to do hair and makeup, which let’s say costs N15, 000 if you go to the salon to do the hair and then go to the makeup artiste’s studio.
For example MUDD or Shomya - If you want them to come to you, they will charge you double for home service! Theodora of Doranne Beauty charges N25,000 and up for hair and makeup.
Some stylists like Veronica Odeka ask you to put them on a monthly retainer – the last time I asked how much she charges was 2012. The rate at that time was N200, 000 per month. The good thing was it would cover all events, photo-shoots and even a wardrobe overhaul. Again, this depends on how many events you attend. Note that this was back in 2012. I heard her star client Genevieve Nnaji pays her more.
Speaking of Genny, how many movies has she been in recently? How does she afford all her designer this and that and all her fabulous trips abroad? I’m asking! Biko show us the way! Her new fashion line seems to be doing well – but she just started!
It’s 2015, who knows how much it is to get Veronica to style me now? I did not have money then and though I can afford it now, I refuse to be giving someone 200k every month! So I have been styling myself from Day 1!
Lets do the math! 40k per outfit + Hair & Makeup (studio or home service) – Between 65k to 85k PER EVENT!!!
OR N200, 000 + every month!!
Let’s be honest, how many Nigerian female stars can afford this?...
Please let’s not get into how some female celebs flaunt designer stuff online all the time. Half the time, their money isn’t from their craft. (I won’t get into that today). The likes of Chika Ike who actually take vacations every three months and buy all these designer things – what exactly do they do for a living apart from being celebrities?
We also know the ones who flaunt very good imitations (I see you, Mercy Aigbe). The pretty actress has been seen rocking 6 different Hermes Birkin bags! Those bags cost roughly $14,000 per bag! So she bought them all? *Blank stare*...
Unfortunately the red carpet is important. It helps with image, helps with awareness of your brand and generally reminds your fans, foes, colleagues and brand managers that you are around. Appearing on the red carpet has helped a lot of careers. Look at Toke Makinwa, Uti Nwachukwu and Zainab Balogun. They appear often on the red carpet and they look good. They also have endorsement deals. They are making money.
Let’s address other things like logistics. You are dressed and you arrive at the venue. Most of the time, this venue is Eko Hotel. If you are driving yourself, you meander around the hotel until you find parking – or your driver does. Then you walk to the red carpet.
It is HOT! No jokes! It’s HOT, there is no AC or Fan and you are sweaty and our Nigerian photographers don’t care! If you have been in the game for a while, you will know some of these guys by name. So you ask them to wait while you quickly dab your face and adjust your outfit. Your outfit is now probably wrinkled (depending on the fabric) from sitting in your car.
Some of the photographers don’t listen and just snap away. They will not even tell you if it looks good or not. Thank God for photographers like Kola Oshalusi who take their time to get good shots.
Many photographers do not know how to photograph from the right angles. Sometimes when you see your pic on the blogs the next day, you almost weep! Some of the female celebs that look terrible in photos from red carpets actually look good on their Instagram pages in the same outfit with the same hair and makeup. For example Waje - She usually posts a picture of her outfit on Instagram before she hits the red carpet, when you see the picture on the blogs the next day, you wonder if it’s the same person! Sometimes, I think blog editors pick the not so flattering pictures of celebs so that they can get heckled in the comments section. Anything for clicks!
Speaking of angles, you do know that stars in Hollywood actually have been taught how to pose on the red carpet by experts right?! We have no such experts here!
So sometimes, celebs get creative. You dress yourself from your closet or get a designer to make or borrow you an outfit.
Sometimes, you just have to make do with what you are given.
That’s just getting ready for an event.
If you are not naturally slender like me, you have to work out constantly or resort to body magic or both. You have to eat healthy- this is not easy all the time and it’s not cheap in Nigeria. Abroad, there are a plethora of nutritionists, aestheticians, plastic surgeons and personal trainers to ensure that the stars look their best.
Uzi (Celebrity trainer) charges over N100, 000 per month. Ponle (Another trainer) charges over $100 per workout session.
We all know with N500, if you buy rice and meat from a buka – you will eat well. N500 cannot buy you a salad! It might buy you some miserable looking carrots and cucumbers. That’s it!
A facial at a good spa costs at least N12,000....
I made enquiries at a dentist’s office; I wanted to whiten my teeth. I was told it costs N80, 000. Just to whiten – not to get a new set of teeth!
I’m not making excuses. I just want you to think about these things and know that IT IS NOT EASY! So think twice before you type ‘get a stylist’.
It is a LOT of hardwork and dedication! I duff my hat to the women who almost always look good – The Genevieves, Tokes and Nike Oshinowos- these women have spent a fortune and it shows!

Woman Justifies Why She Battered Her 15-Year Old House Help So Bad (Photo)

A 15-year-old girl, Oluebube Amadi, has refused to report her guardian, Mrs. Ebere Ugochukwu, to the police for allegedly assaulting her. Amadi, a primary six pupil, lives with the woman on Muhammed Akinje Street, Ejigbo, Lagos State.
It was learnt that a Good Samaritan who met her while she was writhing in pain on the street advised the victim to report the assault to the police. But she turned down the idea for fear of being punished again by the guardian.
Punch Metro learnt that Amadi had told the Good Samaritan, identified simply as Rukayat, that she was, on January 11, spanked by Ugochukwu for sending one of her daughters on an errand.The victim had reportedly added that the woman applied pepper on her injuries after the flogging.
However, Ugochukwu told our correspondent that she spanked the victim for allegedly masturbating. She also justified the assault on the ground that Amadi had a habit of stealing.
Ugochukwu said, “She touches her private parts with her fingers and she has started doing same to my daughters. I was really annoyed. When I asked her where she learnt it, she said she used to do it in the village. The beating I gave her was the highest since she has been living with me. I tied her hands and legs. Besides, she is used to stealing. She steals my money and items from school.
“I brought her from Enugu in 2012 to look after my children because I used to lock them up whenever I was going out. My mother got her for me from her parents, who live beside our house.”
Although the girl confessed to the allegations, she insisted that Ugochukwu punished her on the fateful day for sending her daughter on errand.
She said, “She usually flogs me. I steal and do bombom (masturbate), but I did not steal that day. She beat me for sending her daughter to bring me soap to wash plates.”
When our correspondent inquired to know why she engaged in such acts, she did not respond. However, when asked whether the woman sprinkled pepper on the scars in her back, she said, “She will beat me if I tell you.”
Ugochukwu’s husband Emeka, a vehicle inspection officer, said, “The items she stole from school are still with her. I told her to return them. I will take her back to her parents.”
A neighbour to the woman, who craved anonymity, said beating has become “a hobby” for the girl.
“That is how she beats her. Everybody has complained, including the landlady to no avail. We even told her to take her back to the village if she can’t cope with her. Now, nobody bothers to intervene whenever the girl is being flogged,” she said.
Suspected Ex-Militants Warn First Lady Not To Attend Bayelsa Presidential Campaign With Husband
Youths suspected to be ex- militants from the creeks of Bayelsa State, yesterday, warned Dame Patience, wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, against accompanying her husband to the presidential rally of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, scheduled to hold in the state on February 5.
The warning followed a similar one by a group which called itself, Bayelsa Youth Vanguard, BYV, barring the First Lady from attending the proposed rally.
The ex-militant youths, under the aegis of the Mangrove Boys of Bayelsa, MBB, asked Mrs. Jonathan to steer clear of the rally over her alleged involvement in an alleged plot to embarrass the state governor, Mr. Seriake Dickson, during the forthcoming presidential rally in the state.
Meanwhile, a coalition of seven youth groups from the state, reacting to the threat, declared their readiness to rally round Dame Patience and warned trouble makers to steer clear of the PDP presidential rally.The youths, under the aegis of the Jonathan Youth Vanguard, JOY 2015, vowed to use “all means possible” to deal with anti-Patience elements, who had threatened to disrupt the proposed rally if the First Lady accompanied her husband to the state.
JOY 2015 said: “We have concluded plans to mobilise 10,000 youths to attend the rally and provide maximum security for Dame Patience.”
Speaking on behalf of the coalition, the state Coordinator JOY 2015, Mr. Daniel Etai, said it will be suicidal for anybody to think of preventing the First Lady from coming to the state, adding: “The authentic youths and students’ leaders from the state are eagerly waiting to welcome the First Lady to the state. We commend Governor Dickson for his giant strides in the state. The youths will queue behind the governor to accord Dame Patience a deserving reception.”
The anti-Patience group, in a statement by its president, Mr. Opuyo Engobara, accused the First Lady of aiding her anointed governorship candidate, Mr. Waripamowei Dudafa to recruit youths to embarrass Governor Dickson, at the proposed rally.
It lamented the President’s silence over the alleged excesses of his wife.
