In 2009, Underwear bomber Umar Abdulmutallab was unable to blow up a transatlantic flight and those who survived that attempt manslaughter have ever being grateful to God.
It has been revealed that Umar had been wearing the same pants for two weeks and this had made the bomb to degrade because of bad hyiene.
Umar has been sentenced to life in prison without parole after he pleaded guilty to the Christmas Day 2009 plot.
He was caught on board on his an Amsterdam to Detroit flight with a bomb in his underwear.
John Pistole from the Transportation Security Administration said : "He had had the device with him for over two weeks."
His interviewer Catherine Herridge then asked if the device was "damp", to which Pistole replied: "It was degraded... it's efficacy was degraded."
Thank God for bad hygiene ...hmmm
